Worship ought to be FUN!
The act of worship begins with a vision for our purpose in life—namely to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. While the worship of God is part of our everyday lives, the Journey Church provides a morning worship service that is modern, upbeat, and relevant atmosphere. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere for you to connect with God where you are in your relationship with Him.
Involvement precedes commitment
When it comes to involvement in the life and ministries of the Journey Church, we are interested in getting to know you as a person, what your interests are, and how we can help you in your journey with God. We are also eager to know your heart for ministry and vision for implementing your spiritual gifts in the life of the body of Christ. Though there is no formal membership at The Journey Church, we do encourage those who attend faithfully to commit themselves to support the work and ministry of the church with their time, talents and resources.
Structure follows Ministry
The Journey Church has a formal Ministry Leadership Team that consists of 12 people who meet monthly. Our goal is to be relevant, effective, and efficient in our ministry endeavors. The Leadership Team’s position is to welcome and discuss new ideas, and then implement those ministry ideas as led by the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is Center Stage
While we are not a classically Pentecostal church, we nevertheless are a Spirit-filled church. We believe in miracles. We've seen broken lives made whole. We've seen healings and deliverances. People are welcome to be annointed with God's supernatural power. We welcome the spontaneity of the Spirit in worship each Sunday. We promote the importance of the Fruit of the Spirit and the Gifts of the Spirit.
The Christian Faith is Worth Defending
In a time when Christianity is being attacked from many angles, it is important that we invest in training ourselves to “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have, and to do this with gentleness and respect.” - 1 Peter 3:15. Our goal is to know and effectively communicate our faith so that people will have opportunities to consider our reasoning for why we believe what we believe.
People Matter to God
Each person is made in God's image and can only know peace and experience greater wholeness when their relationship with God is restored. Jesus is God's message to humanity that people matter. The Journey Church is a place for spiritual travelers to explore their relationship to God and to deepen their awareness of His love for them. Our goal is to provide avenues for development in Christian spiritual health and wholeness.
